Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide (DSIP) is a naturally occurring neuropeptide first isolated from rabbit brain in 1977. It is named for its ability to promote slow-wave (delta) sleep. Beyond sleep regulation, it has been studied for stress reduction, neuroendocrine modulation, and antioxidant properties.
